John Mark - June 21, 2024 DD
"When God speaks to you about doing something for the kingdom, make sure the people that are with you are [those] God has called to be with you." Today's reading from Acts 13 teaches us that sometimes in the ministry, there will be people who belong to you and those who don't. As leaders, we must pray for people who are called to stay and be fruitful in their tasks.
Acts 13:2-3 NLT
One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Appoint Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them." So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.

There, in the town of Salamis, they went to the Jewish synagogues and preached the word of God. John Mark went with them as their assistant.
Acts 13:13 NLT
Paul and his companions then left Paphos by ship for Pamphylia, landing at the port town of Perga. There John Mark left them and returned to Jerusalem.
