Omnipotence is the doctrine that God is able to do all His holy will. From the Latin omni (“all”) and potens (“powerful”), it affirms that there is no limit to God’s power except His own nature—He cannot lie, sin, or contradict Himself. God’s omnipotence is not chaotic or random—it is governed by His perfect wisdom, justice, and holiness. He is sovereign over creation, providence, and salvation.
