💁🏻 Concept: Mercy
Mercy is God’s tender expression of goodness toward those who are suffering, weak, or in distress. Unlike grace, which gives us what we don’t deserve, mercy withholds the judgment or punishment we do deserve. It is God’s heart moving toward the broken, the guilty, and the needy. Throughout Scripture, God shows Himself as “rich in mercy”—a Father who is not quick to anger, but delights in compassion. In Jesus, the mercy of God is displayed fully—healing the sick, forgiving sinners, and welcoming the weary. His mercy meets us where we are and lifts us up in love.
