Why do you call Jesus “Lord”?
In Luke 6:46–49, Jesus challenges us to examine the difference between acknowledging Him with our words and surrendering to His authority in our lives. Following Jesus is more than attending church, hearing sermons, or knowing Scripture. It means coming to Him, listening to His Word, and putting it into practice. Through the parable of the two builders, we are reminded that the storms of life reveal the foundation on which we have built. A life grounded in Christ is not a life without storms, but one built on the truth of His Word and a willingness to obey Him.
