In the midst of darkness, an old man believed that there would never be light again because inequity is rampant in the world today.
No amount of goodness shall prevail since no one will care to help anyone. Love is gone, and hope has faded. The old man discouraged anyone from still persuading him to believe that there is still hope and love since kindness is not in the hearts of men anymore.
