Melda is a diligent maid and has served the family of Vicky for almost 10 years. While they were taking pictures outside their home, Vicky's parents notice that Melda experiences some pain in her body. They help her and decide to hire another maid to help her around the house, named Era. On her first day, Era asks Melda about their salary and benefits. Instead of directly answering her questions, Melda tells Era that their benefit is being loved and being treated as part of the family. Melda teaches Era about their tasks and duties. Although Melda tells Era about Vicky's peanut allergy, she says she will be the one to take care of it.

In one instance, Vicky requests an egg sandwich. Since Melda finds it hard to stand up, Era volunteers to prepare the sandwich instead. While doing so, Era accidentally mixes some peanut spread in the sandwich. When she takes a bite, Vicky feels hard to breathe. Everyone in the household runs to help Vicky and gives her medicine. Then Vicky is taken to the hospital. Era is very apologetic to Vicky's parents. Melda comforts her and advises her that if she loves her work, it will guide her through with God’s help and mercy.
