The Gospel of John emphasizes that there is a deep connection between love and obedience, because when we love and obey in the name of God, we will be rewarded and remembered by Jesus in the kingdom. When we keep His commandments, we are promised of His presence in our lives, together with the Holy Spirit to guide us in living in faith. We must always remember that Godβs love surrounds us, and the Holy Spirit is there to guide, teache, and strengthen us to live faithfully each day.
