The Gospel of Mark emphasizes how compassionate Jesus is towards His people. In this story, a leper came to Jesus and begged Him to make Him clean. Moved with pity and compassion, Jesus healed Him with His touch, even if the man was unclean. This level of compassion should be our example in our everyday lives, wherein we extend our compassion towards those in need. As followers of Christ, we must be the first ones to have more compassion for people, particularly for those who still don't know Him.
