The Gospel of Luke emphasizes through the story of the Prodigal Son how much God loves us, even if we have moments wherein we are not perfect and we go astray. God's compassion for us extends so much through His love because even if we sin, He is open to forgive us and welcome us back to His kingdom if we want to go back and repent wholeheartedly. God is the God of love, and His love for us is very powerful and whole.
