The Gospel of Mark calls us to open our eyes and stay open-minded in our faith. God works in mysterious ways, and sometimes, we cannot comprehend His ways easily. When we become narrow-minded in faith, we tend to lose our trust in Him and misinterpret His actions and words for us. We should also not be too absorbed of ourselves like the Pharisees in this story because self-righteousness is dangerous, especially in our faith.
