The Gospel of Luke reminds us that the religious practices that we do should be done out of our faith and devotion to the church, and not just to let other people see that we are religious. They should flow from a heart seeking God rather than mere obligationβbe done out of love rather than out of responsibilities. He wants us to practice our faith through these practices and good deeds for others while we also have a change of character and hearts in us.
