The Gospel of John reminds us that there is a cost when it comes to true worship, and we, as humans, often misunderstand it. There are things that we need to sacrifice in order to truly worship God, and it will cost us a lot if we think about it. How ready are we for this? Today's Gospel also calls us to examine our hearts and think of how sure we are that we can do all the things we want and need to do for God out of love.
