The Gospel of John discusses the need for us to constantly die to ourselvesβto get out of our comfort zones and make sacrifices for others. This also emphasizes the need to put Christ in the center when we follow Him in service. Lastly, we are also reminded that God loves a cheerful giver and that martyrdom for the sake of Christ can bring the joy of the Gospel into our lives.
