The Gospel of Luke shows us the compassion and sensitivity of Christ toward people through the story of the centurion. The faith of the centurion moved Jesus because it showed humility and trust in the Lord, which should serve as an inspiration for us. This Gospel also reminds us of the proper use of authority in this story. We should have a kind of authority that is always life-giving and inspiring for others.
