The Gospel of Matthew calls us to remember that we must always seek God and not the consulation of the world. We are warned to be wary of religions that are only there for one's convenience and do not seek God. This Gospel also shows the authentic Christian witness of John the Baptist through our own prophetic voices and the need to share God and lead people to the path to God. With our own authentic witness, we should also keep in mind how we live our lives for God.
