The Gospel of John shows us the emptying of Christ to be like us. We are given His perspective as a Servant Leader for us and among us, which is also a great sign and mystery of our salvation. It greatly shows that Christ truly listens, as He expressed His willingness to be closer to us in order to understand us better. He is the God among us and the God with us, and through the human freedom He experiences, we gain the gift of salvation from His birth.
