Sometimes, you hold on because you're afraid of letting go.

You remember the good times.
The conversations.
The memories.
And you wonder...
"Why did they have to leave?"
But maybe their departure doesn't mean your life is falling apart.
Maybe that relationship simply had its season.

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."
Some people are part of one chapter...
But not every chapter lasts forever.
Their leaving doesn't mean you weren't valuable.
It doesn't mean the memories weren't real.
And it doesn't mean your future is empty.
Sometimes God allows seasons to end so a new season can begin.
You don't have to chase what God is allowing you to release.
You don't have to keep holding onto what has already ended.
Grieve it.
Thank God for what it taught you.
Then keep moving forward.
Because not everyone who leaves is a loss.
Some departures are simply the end of a season...
And God still has more chapters to write. π
