Today, as Pastor Sumrall reads from Proverbs 27:23-24, he teaches us to be prudent with our finances through wise career decisions and business dealings if we are handling one. As Christians, we should be mindful that riches do not last forever and that while we have the strength to produce wealth, we should keep a stream of income for ourselves and our families.

Know the state of your flocks,
and put your heart into caring for your herds,
for riches don’t last forever,
and the crown might not be passed to the next generation.
