O Saint Bonaventure, you illumined the Church with your wisdom and inflamed it with your love. You taught that the highest knowledge is to know the love of Christ and the greatest glory is to serve Him in humility.
Pray for us, that we may thirst for true wisdom
not for pride or vain glory but to grow in holiness and love of God. Help us to see in Christ crucified the greatest mystery of love, and to live our lives as a reflection of His mercy and truth.
O Seraphic Doctor, guide our minds to seek what is good,
our hearts to embrace what is right, and our souls to long for heaven. Intercede for us so that we may walk in the light of Christ and rejoice with you in eternal life. Amen.
