Principal to Two Parents ROMANIA| September 19 | Camelia, Mission Story

That is the powerful beginning of this true mission story from the Seventh-day Adventist elementary school in Macea, Romania.

Principal Camelia could have simply accepted the mother’s decision. Instead, she felt impressed to ask one simple question: “Can you bring your husband and come back to see me?”

That small act of faith opened the door to a remarkable journey involving marriage, family, forgiveness, work, faith, and ultimately, a closer relationship with God.

As Camelia counseled the parents, she shared biblical principles about marriage and reminded them of Jesus’ words in Matthew 19:6:
“What God has joined together, let not man separate.”

The couple faced unemployment, financial struggles, arguments, and uncertainty. But through patience, encouragement, and one simple challenge—to find something good to appreciate about each other—their relationship slowly began to change.

Then Father found a job in France.

What happened next brought hope back to the family. Eventually, the family reunited, discovered a church, and began growing closer not only to one another but also to God.

Years later, Father still tells Camelia: “Thank you, Miss Camelia. Because of you, I didn’t lose my family.”

This story reminds us that sometimes God can use one question, one conversation, and one act of faith to make a lasting difference.
