Resisting Flattery - December 1, 2023 DD
The only Christians who can resist flattery are those who really know God and have a proper relationship with Him." Today, as Pastor Sumrall teaches from Daniel 11:31-32, he reminds us that flattery is a powerful thing, and it can cause our hearts to be corrupted. To steer clear of it, we need to develop our relationship with God and stand firm in His word. With this, we will have an understanding and wisdom of someone who lives agreeing with the world, and someone who keeps in step with the Holy Spirit.
Daniel 11:31-32 (NIV)
31 “His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation. 32 With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.
