Husband and wife, Simon and Mira, were active participants of medical missions and other public services conducted by the religious organization, MCGI. Initially, it was Mira who was diagnosed with parotid cancer. Despite her condition, she continued to join the outreach activities of MCGI. The doctor was amazed with the reduction of cancer cells as a result of the juicing regimen taught by Mira’s uncle with God’s mercy.

However, while Mira got well, Simon one day fell to the ground due to the pain he felt from his nape. Although it was caused by hypertension, the medical result showed he had thyroid cancer. Simon did not wish for anything from God because of his faith that God knew best. His brother told him that he could pray for his health because they still had a lot of things to do. In one of their public service activities, Simon collapsed. He was brought to the hospital. Prior to his surgical operation, Simon told Mira to pray for the success of his surgery. But he told Mira to thank God whether he still woke up or not anymore because the will of God must prevail. When asked during a medical mission, the doctor advised the patients to never question God because God had His plans. The doctor further stated to always rely on God because doctors were only His instruments to heal people. The only one who treated and healed people was God.
