Devotional Topic: BELIEVING IN THE MIDST OF DOUBT
READ: Mark 9:14-32

Verse of the Day: Mark 9:23-24

Devotional Message:

(Mark 9:23-24)
"Jesus said to him, 'If you can! All things are possible for one who believes.' Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, 'I believe; help my unbelief!'"

In this passage, Jesus speaks to a father who brings his son to be healed. The father struggles with doubt, but he also wants to believe in Jesus' power to heal his son.

Jesus tells the father, "If you can! All things are possible for one who believes." This is a reminder of the power of faith. When we trust in God's ability, incredible things can happen. Believing isn't always easy, especially when we face challenges or unanswered prayers.

The father's response is one of my favorite parts of this story. He says, "I believe; help my unbelief!" This honest prayer is something we can learn from. Sometimes we want to believe but still struggle with doubts. It's okay to be honest with God about that.

When we find ourselves doubting or struggling to trust, we can bring our questions and fears to God just as this father did. Jesus is patient and loving, and He wants to walk with us through our doubts.

So, let's take encouragement from this story. Our faith doesn't have to be perfect for God to work in our lives. When we are honest about our struggles, God can help us grow in our faith and bring us closer to Him. Just like the father, we can say, "I believe; help my unbelief!" and trust that God will meet us where we are.
