Sister Cecilia Tapang is a member of the Living the Gospel Community (LGC), a religious congregation of diocesan right here in Cebu City. She used to be one of the anchors of a vocation promotion program in DYRF. This interview happened before the pandemic.
The apostolate of LGC is pastoral work which involves catechism; value formation to students, parents, prisoners and families of overseas workers; visitation to the families of the prisoners; care for the sick; giving retreats & administering retreat houses; and livelihood assistance to the poor to upgrade their quality of life.

The SVD is a missionary religious congregation composed of priests and brothers. It is one of the largest missionary congregations in the Catholic Church today. At present, I am assigned at DYRF Radio Station at the University of San Carlos, Cebu City, Philippines.
