Special Lent Series Ep. 1: First Sunday of Lent

“You need to carve out time for being quiet and being still. The greatest gifts of prayer are solitude, silence, and stillness. The words of the Psalm are very accurate - 'Be still and know that I am God'. There is a need for stillness."

In this episode, for the first Sunday of Lent, we are invited to reflect on four important Gospels: Genesis 9:8-15, Psalm 25, 1 Peter 3:18-22, and Mark 1:12-15. These focus on the Ash Wednesday Gospel and reflections, which call us to assess the three areas of our spiritual lives: How is our prayer life? What are the fruits of our discipline in fasting and penance? How do all of these practices help us develop greater service? These readings also urge us to think about our own experiences when it comes to temptation.
