SAINT FINA OF SAN GIMIGNANO
VIRGIN

Born at san Gimignano, Italy, in 1238, she died at fifteen, already in the odor of sanctity. Her family was poor, and she was soon immobilized by a deathly sickness, laid out on an oaken plank. With her great devotion she suffered the terrible disease and the pain, using prayer and always thinking of the Passion of Jesus and the Virgin. Her cult began immediately after her death.
She is depicted as a young woman, often with flowers.
