We're finally back home in Iligan City, Mindanao after two months of being stranded in Bacolod City, Negros. This is one of the most draining experiences we've ever had. We're like sheeps listening to different shepherds with different instructions. The result? Lost! What happens when LGUs and agencies refuse to work with each other, or aren't coordinated well? We are sharing this so you can get a lesson or two.

Are you stranded or an OFW wanting to go home? You will just be needing two (2) requirements:
1. Valid Medical Certificate (CHO/PHO)
2. Travel Authority (PNP)
In getting a Medical Certificate, please approach your City Health Office or Provincial Health Office. Please know that the validity of the Medical Certificate is only 24hrs.
In getting a Travel Authority, coordinate with the PNP in your current location. 3-7 days before receiving the document since it shall be sent to the PNP Regional Office for signature. As per NTF COVID-19 Memorandum Order #2020-02, the requirements for the issuance of travel authority include:
a. Medical Certificate Clearance issued by City/Municipal Health Office based on the following conditions for LSI:
✔️ That the LSIs is neither a contact, suspect or probable or confirmed COVID-19 case;
✔️ That the LSI completed the 14-day quarantine based on the quarantine standards set by the DOH; or
✔️ That the LSI confirmed as a COVID-19 case was tested negative through RT-PCR twice.
b. Certification from the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) for ROFs and COVID-19 negative RT-PCR results;
c. List of LSIs/ROFs;
d. Point of origin and destinations;
e. Travel date; and
f. Name of drivers, vehicle to be used with plate numbers
