God brought His justice upon Egypt in the form of plagues. After the final plague, the Pharaoh lost his son and finally let the Israelites go free. Israelites finally escaped Egypt but later on was chased by the Pharaoh's army into the Red Sea. God miraculously and powerfully rescued them by parting the Red Sea!
When all the Israelites had reached the other side, the waters returned and covered all the Egyptian armies. The people of Israel saw the mighty power that the Lord had unleashed against the Egyptians. They put their faith in the Lord and in his servant Moses, and they continued their journey to the Promised Land.
