TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEART | The Word Exposed with Cardinal Tagle (March 2, 2025) with Sign Language

This time, the Lord poses the question, How can you say to your brother, Brother, let me remove that splinter in your eye, when you do not even notice the wooden beam in your own eye? This is a good point for reflection, brothers and sisters. Before we even attempt to remove the speck of the splinter in your own eye, how can you say to your brother, from the eyes of others, we should first examine our own eyes and remove the speck there.

Why? Cleansing our own eyes would allow us to see more clearly the eyes of others. Secondly, recognizing our flaws and working on purifying them, we will become credible to our brothers and sisters whom we are correcting. The Jubilee Year of Hope reminds us that God is rich in mercy. The jubilee abounds in God's mercy and goodness.

Let us enter it and have our heart, eyes, and lips, our whole person, cleansed of impurities. Seeing more clearly, we can humbly guide others on the way of renewal.
