Sally, who had difficulty pronouncing her name, was nicknamed "Talley" by her cousin Brianna, who bullied her in childhood. When Brianna came to visit for a vacation, Talley was not excited due to her embarrassing past experiences. Though Talley's mother advised her to forget about it, Brianna called Talley "mambo girl" when she said her nickname. Despite this, obedient Talley entertained Brianna well during her stay.
Talley's mother allowed her to attend a party with Brianna, on the condition no boys would be there. However, there were boys present, and Brianna introduced herself to them, leaving shy Talley embarrassed.
