3 Types of Hell
Did you know that there are 3 types of hell mentioned in the Bible? This might surprise you but most people have the wrong understanding of hell. So, what are these three types of hell?
1. Sheol/Hades: Both terms refer to the grave, the resting place of the dead, not a place of eternal torment. Biblical figures like Hezekiah, Job, and David are said to have gone to Sheol/Hades, meaning they were in the grave, awaiting resurrection.
2. Tartaroo: This Greek term, used in II Peter 2:4, describes a place of restraint for fallen angels or demons, not for humans.
3. Gehenna: A valley used as a garbage dump where trash and bodies were burned. It symbolizes the final destruction of the wicked in the future, not eternal torment.
Hell, as described in the Bible, is not an ever-burning inferno. Instead, it refers to death, restraint, or future judgment through the lake of fire.
