THE ASCENCION OF THE LORD INTO HEAVEN

Rev. Fr. Budge Orara takes us back to the biblical scene when Jesus before he ascends to Heaven gives instructions to His disciples. On the reading from the beginning of the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 1: 1-11) that was written by Luke, the Apostles receive instructions from the Lord before He was taken up to heaven. Likewise, on the same moment before the Lord goes up to Heaven as mentioned on the reading from the conclusion of the Holy Gospel according to Matthew (Mt 28: 16-20), He gave specific orders to the eleven disciples to spread the Good News all over the world and baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
