THE BIBLICAL TRUTH ABOUT HELL - Why would a good God send people there?

1.SHEOL
- a Hebrew term simply describing “the grave” or “death”
-Does not specifically say hell because both the righteous and wicked die and go to the grave.

PSALM 55:15
Let death steal over them; let them go down to Sheol alive; for evil is in their dwelling place and in their heart.
JOB 2:2 Saying, “I called out to the Lord, out of my distress, and he answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice.

2.HADES
Hades - A Greek term that usually refers to hell – a place of torment

LUKE 16:24 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.
ACTS 2:27 For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption.

3.GEHENA
- A Greek term (borrowed from a literal burning dump near Jerusalem) that always refers to hell – a place of torment
-Refers to the "Valley of Hinnom", which was a garbage dump outside of Jerusalem. It was a place where people burned their garbage and corpses
-Where dogs gnash their teeth on the corpes and worms never die)

2 CHRONICLES 28:3
3 and ihe made offerings in the jValley of the Son of Hinnom and kburned his sons as an offering,1 according to lthe abominations of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel.

JEREMIAH 7:31
