The twelve disciples just came to Jesus to report the success of their mission — them being sent to proclaim the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick. (Luke 9:2) Jesus took them to a boat heading to Bethsaida to rest after their return from a full ministry trip. But, only their time in the boat became their rest.
