"The Disciple Whom Jesus Loved" (Various Texts) Pastor Mel Caparros June 29, 2025 Sunday Service
In His Gospel, John called himself “the disciple whom Jesus loved” (13:23). A lot of people falsely assume that John felt that he was one of the Lord’s favorites, considering the fact that John was part of the inner circle of three - Peter, James and John.
Such a conclusion however is flawed. John saw himself as a great sinner who abandoned the Lord and he was simply in awe that Jesus loved him the way He did in spite of his many failures. This is what we will see in the various passages that we will be studying.
