"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."

This verse captures the essence of faith and is often quoted to emphasize the trust and confidence that believers have in God's promises, even when those promises are not yet realized.

Faith, as described here, is not blind belief. It's a confident trust in something we can't yet see. It's like having a firm conviction that the sun will rise tomorrow, even on the darkest of nights. Our faith in God should be equally unshakable.

In verse 2, the heroes of faith in the Bible, often called the "cloud of witnesses," are commended not for their perfect lives, but for their unwavering trust in God's promises. Their stories inspire us to keep our faith strong.
