"The Fact And Good News Of The Risen Christ" (Matthew 28:1-10) Pastor Mel Caparros May 25, 2025 Sunday Service

Jesus declares Himself as the TRUTH when He said: John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. Paul calls the church as the PILLAR of TRUTH in 1 Tim. 3:15 “but in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.”

Of all beings in the entire universe, God is most concerned about TRUTH, because He Himself is the EMBODIMENT of it. But the question is how do we distinguish between the TRUTH and a LIE, between FACT and FICTION? God has provided a way for us to ascertain TRUTH and it is by the use of 2 or 3 credible witnesses. We see this both in the New and Old Testaments.

Deuteronomy 19:15 “A single witness shall not rise up against a man on account of any iniquity or any sin which he has committed; on the evidence of two or three witnesses a matter shall be confirmed.

1 Timothy 5:19 Do not receive an accusation against an elder except on the basis of two or three witnesses.
