The Holy Spirit Speaks and Still Speaks - March 2, 2024 DD
Today's reading from Mark 12 and 13 teaches us that the presence of the Holy Spirit can be felt not only in the church but also in our everyday lives. As Christians, we should not confine the Holy Spirit just within that "goosebump experience" we know, but rather, be reminded that the Holy Spirit exhibits its power through us on a regular basis.
Mark 12:35-36 NLT
Later, as Jesus was teaching the people in the Temple, he asked, "Why do the teachers of religious law claim that the Messiah is the son of David? For David himself, speaking under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, said,
'The Lord said to my Lord, Sit in the place of honor at my right hand
until I humble your enemies beneath your feet.'

Mark 13:9-10 NLT
"When these things begin to happen, watch out! You will be handed over to the local councils and beaten in the synagogues. You will stand trial before governors and kings because you are my followers. But this will be your opportunity to tell them about me. For the Good News must first be preached to all nations.
