Although the Inn and Suites at Chicago was still operational, the company would need to reduce its staff and highly paid employees due to financial constraints. Among those employees were best friends Ian and Cleo from the housekeeping department. Mr. Nemo told them to show a good work performance as a basis for his decision as to who shall remain in the company. Cleo told Ian that he doesn't want to be laid off because his wife already resigned from work to take care of their sickly child. Ian had almost the same situation.
Cleo played games from his mobile phone during work hours and lacked discipline. He was advised by Ian that they were paid by the hour and should spend it by doing their jobs, otherwise they were stealing time. Ian was disciplined, punctual and dedicated to his job. He did everything with passion and love.

After their evaluation, Mr. Nemo announced his decision. He gave Cleo a chance to stay with the company but needed to change his ways and refrain from his wrongdoings. Ian was surprised when Mr. Nemo informed him of his promotion to replace him as housekeeping manager once he retires. He told him how lucky he was to have such a good and faithful employee.
