First principle: Today's reading from 2 Chronicles 7 teaches us that while God hears and listens to us everywhere, there is a promise at the Temple Mount. And when we go to Israel, we are encouraged to spend a day lifting our prayers there.
2 Chronicles 7:15-16 NLT
My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place. For I have chosen this Temple and set it apart to be holy—a place where my name will be honored forever. I will always watch over it, for it is dear to my heart.

Second principle: The reading from 2 Chronicles 8 teaches us efficiency in taking up project management, where we first accomplish the prior tasks before moving on to the next.
2 Chronicles 8:1-2 NLT
It took Solomon twenty years to build the Lord’s Temple and his own royal palace. At the end of that time, Solomon turned his attention to rebuilding the towns that King Hiram had given him, and he settled Israelites in them.
