The Scoffers, The Faithful Servant, and The Return of Christ
Are We Still Waiting for Christ’s Return? What the Bible Says About Scoffers in the Last Days

In 2 Peter 3:3-14, the apostle Peter addresses these very questions. He warns that scoffers will come in the last days, questioning the promise of Christ’s return and using the passage of time as a reason to doubt God’s Word.
But are we missing something important?
In this Bible message, we’ll examine what Scripture says about the apparent delay of Yeshua’s return, why God has allowed time to pass, and how Christians should respond while waiting. We’ll also consider whether the apostles used urgent end-time language to manipulate people, what history teaches us about failed end-time predictions, and why God’s patience should never be mistaken for permission to become spiritually complacent.
In this message, you’ll discover:
Why the apostles spoke with urgency about the return of Yeshua.
What the Bible really means when it says the Lord is coming soon.
Why scoffers question God’s promises in the last days.
How God’s patience reveals His desire for people to repent.
Why the passage of time should strengthen our faith rather than weaken it.
What Christians should be doing while waiting for Christ’s return.
Why repentance, faithful service, and holiness matter right now.
God’s patience is an opportunity to repent, grow, and faithfully serve Him. It is not a reason to put off obedience or assume we have unlimited time.
The question is not simply how long we have been waiting for Yeshua. The question is whether we have been faithful while waiting.
