"What are you putting into your heart?" Today's readings from Proverbs 4 and Psalm 78 remind us to guard our hearts by being cautious about what we consume -- in today's world, regarding what we watch and listen to through media channels. Everything that flows through us comes from our hearts. This is why it is important to lift every desire to the Lord to set our paths according to His will.
Proverbs 4:23 NLT
Guard your heart above all else,
for it determines the course of your life.

Psalm 78:17-19 NLT
17 Yet they kept on sinning against him,
rebelling against the Most High in the desert.
18 They stubbornly tested God in their hearts,
demanding the foods they craved.
19 They even spoke against God himself, saying,
"God can't give us food in the wilderness.
Psalm 78:37-38 NLT
37 Their hearts were not loyal to him.
They did not keep his covenant.
38 Yet he was merciful and forgave their sins
and did not destroy them all.
Many times he held back his anger
and did not unleash his fury!
