Quitting my job due to a disease never crossed my mind and was never part of my plans. But living with lupus made it challenging for me to keep up with a day job (I thought I can).
Lupus flares can be unpredictable and I can develop mild to severe flares. It wasn't an easy decision, but putting my health first was the right choice. If you're going through something similar, know that you're not alone. Living with lupus can be challenging, but taking care of yourself is always worth it.
