World Mission Fund (Unusual Opportunities) — September 12 Offertory Reading Devotional.

Sometimes, the greatest challenge isn’t a lack of opportunity. It’s being ready when God suddenly opens an unexpected door.

Imagine an evangelistic series where hundreds respond. A small church becomes crowded. New congregations begin forming. Suddenly, there is an urgent need for meeting places, Bibles, discipleship materials, leadership training, and other resources.

This is where the Unusual Opportunities Fund becomes important.

It helps the Seventh-day Adventist Church prepare for extraordinary opportunities to advance God’s mission. When unexpected doors open, resources can already be available to respond quickly and wisely.

Under the Combined Offering Plan, a portion of regular, unassigned offerings may be directed to this fund, depending on the territory. Those who feel impressed to give beyond their regular tithe and Promise offerings may also contribute directly.

Your gift may seem small, but when united with the gifts of God's people around the world, it can help prepare the way for something much bigger.

Today, we are not simply giving for what we can see. We are preparing for opportunities we have not yet seen.

As you return your tithe and Promise offerings, let us put God first and trust Him with the results.
