God doesn’t need squeaky clean humans. It’s His job and His joy to cleanse us. You can try and cleanse yourself, but it won’t be enough. It’s not gonna last.

📖 “Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)
Some Christians think that they have to be put together first before coming to God. But that’s like putting off going to the carwash because you need your car clean first because you’re embarrassed.
God doesn’t need you to be spotless to come, He just wants you to be honest.
The way He’s cleansed you completely is through His Son, hung on the cross, to take the punishment of your sin.
That’s the washing. The good news is that now, all you have to do is believe that God is merciful God, and that the only way you are saved is in the blood of Christ. No other cleansing comes close.
