Holy Eucharist: Tunay na Katawan at Dugo ni Kristo o Simbolismo Lang?
Rev. Fr. Darwin Gitgano - Punto por Punto
For Catholics, the Holy Eucharist is not just a mere symbol but the real presence of Jesus Christ—His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. This belief is rooted in Christ’s own words during the Last Supper: "This is My Body… This is My Blood…" (Matthew 26:26-28). Through the mystery of transubstantiation, the bread and wine truly become Christ Himself, making the Eucharist the source and summit of the Christian life. But why do Catholics believe this, and what makes it different from other Christian views on Communion?
