TOPIC: HAVE I BEEN OBEDIENT TO THE LORD’S WILL IN MY LIFE?

First Reading: Isaiah 7: 10-14
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 24: 1-2, 3-4ab, 5-6
Gospel: Luke 1: 26-38

Brothers and sisters, have we been postponing or delaying our participation in fulfilling God's will? What is preventing us from obeying God?

Mary’s obedience was not motivated by fear, coercion, or her youthful gullibility. Rather, her trust and love for God enabled her to obey Him wholeheartedly. Through her actions, we can see the rewards of faithfulness, as her obedience brought the Savior of mankind into the world! We, too, can be like Mary. We must allow our love for God to stir our total desire to follow Him as He guides us on our journey. We should place our complete trust in Him, echoing our own fiat: “Lord, let it be done to me according to Your will.”

This is the 1699th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings.

[NOTE: Let us listen to our brother Harris Jacildo, the Sector Leader of CFC Metro Manila South B, as he brings us today's reflection.

All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives. This video is also available on Couples for Christ’s Facebook page. In You Tube, just type ONLY BY GRACE REFLECTIONS]
