English translation:

Thus, Jesus was buried.
Mary and the other women
accompanied the burial
bringing Jesus to the tomb,
their sadness unequalled.

Then they covered
the tomb with brilliant copper
as a symbol of their deep compassion
for Jesus the beloved.
Their respect for Him was boundless.

At his tomb
many persons stood watch--
soldiers from the Roman company--
and on the third day
he rose again.

Thus was fulfilled
all the ancient prophecies:
God had to be brought low
so that all humans
ought to be overcome with shame.

Our Lord God
died on the cross
to redeem humankind
because of the boundless love
of our Lord God.

Let us now rejoice,
and thank the one who had mercy
who redeem and took compassion
on us.
Why! The one who blesses
isn't he also the one who redeems?
