Temptation comes from unresolved sinful desires and companionship with people that cause us to stumble in our faith. While it may seem unpleasant in our daily walk with God, temptation remains inevitable for us to encounter. Thus, we Christians need to remember that we can only overcome such temptations with God's saving grace.

1 Corinthians 15:10 ESV
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.

1 Corinthians 10:11-12 ESV
Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has come. 12 Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall.
