Fr. Xene Sanchez, SVD is a Filipino Divine Word Missionary assigned to the People's Republic of Congo. He has been in this country for 38 years, and counting! In this interview, he shares his vocation story and his experiences in the mission, like (1) culture shock, (2) internationality, and (3) some light stuff in being a religious missionary priest.

The SVD is a missionary religious congregation composed of priests and brothers. It is one of the largest missionary congregations in the Catholic Church today. At present, I am assigned at DYRF Radio Station at the University of San Carlos, Cebu City, Philippines.
